A Kansas Country Garden: Spring Glows!

Who can look at a daffodil and not smile? They are just so darn cheerful. And why not? Spring is here. It must be. I think the daffodils are smiling, too.
Hyacinths have a lovely, but sometimes overpowering scent. 

A Kansas Country Garden: Icy April (Second Week)

Heads are bowed.
Grape hyacinth are encased in ice.
Spring took a little break this week. The temperature dropped. The lightning flashed, the thunder rolled and icy rain fell. It was awful in both senses of the word.  The damage! The beauty! In April! 

A Kansas Country Garden: Third and Fourth Weeks of March

Is there a more cheerful flower than the daffodil? Or one that shouts louder, "Spring is here!"?  And spring is here. Reason enough to celebrate. Soon Easter will be here. An even better reason to celebrate.
