A Kansas Country Garden: Most Wonderful Time

White lilacs have a beauty all their own.

It's the  most wonderful time of the year. For me its not Christmas (too stressful), it must be spring. What makes it so wonderful?

• The lovely scent of lilacs waifing through the yard. Few scents could be considered better and nothing compares to the real thing.

Asparagus is a perennial vegetable.

•  The taste of fresh veggies from the garden. Asparagus is the first, but salad lettuces and radishes follow. Yum!

Can you get tired of eating fresh steamed asparagus? Umm, yes you can. 

Columbine is always lovely. 

• The welcome return of perennial flowers like a visit from dear old friends. 

"So nice to see you! Welcome back. I hope you had a restful winter."
